Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for someone who loves craft cider, loves introducing people to a great product, and loves to work as a team with other great people. (We really do have the best crew.) This is a part-time hourly position that would require availability on weekends and late nights.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acquires and maintains intimate knowledge of all our cider options
  • Maintains and promotes a clean and safe working environment
  • Is able to independently complete taproom opening and closing procedures
  • Promptly greets and warmly welcomes our guests while also clearly communicating what they can expect from their experience with us
  • Reports to work on time
  • Is able to communicate with customer desires in order to completely satisfy the customer’s expectations
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all Taproom Patrons
  • Resolves customer complaints satisfactorily
  • Maintains a positive and friendly work environment
  • Attends occasional team building meetings where employees are given ongoing service/cider training
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the bar and storage areas

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum 2+ years of experience in customer service
  • Able to work late nights and weekends
  • Pays attention to details and able to multitask
  • Has the ability to relate to people from all walks of life
  • Has great communication skills
  • Inspires co-workers to work effectively as a team
  • Is TIPS certified (available upon hire)
  • Has enthusiasm for Duluth’s craft culture

Physical Demands: This position requires an individual who works under a range of circumstances, including: shift work, weekend work, working with challenging patrons, working in the fast-paced environment of a crowded taproom, and working within close proximity of an operating cidery (noise, heavy equipment, odors related to the fermentation process). The Taproom Bartender will likely be required to stand for extended periods of time when fulfilling taproom operations. S/He may also be required to lift boxes 35-50 lbs and move empty / full kegs with the help of a dolly.

Working Environment: We are a very small cider house using the space we have to maximum efficiency. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud most of the time. Temperatures vary seasonally in work areas.
